“ScalersTalk 口译进阶小组”的前身是“ScalersTalk 交传小组”，成立于 2015 年 2 月，现阶段，小组继续专注高级阶段的交替传译与同声传译训练，在巩固语言基本功的同时训练各类口译技能，从而为承担正式场合的口译打下坚实基础。96 周起，小组全面引入 CATTI 新版二口教材的训练，时间为每天晚上 8 点到 9 点，训练期间播放录音、记笔记，在空白处按暂停键后做口译，用 QQ 发群语音，然后对照文档，查找漏译和错译的部分，标出口译时较为困难的词汇和表达，随时发到群里；每天早上 6 点到 7 点训练复述。
第 125-126 周训练材料选自第 13 单元中国外交的英译汉和汉译英口译练习。小组成员利用该材料练习了交替传译和限时视译，并学习原文的词汇、表达和句型句式。本日志整理的是第 125-126 周汉译英练习的部分内容。
亚洲与世界其他地区共克时艰，合作应对国际金融危机，成为拉动世界经济复苏和增长的重要引擎，近年来对世界经济增长的贡献率已超过50％，给世界带来了信心。亚洲同世界其他地区的区域次区域合作展现出勃勃生机和美好前景。当然，我们也清醒地看到，亚洲要谋求更大发展、更好推动本地区和世界其他地区共同发展，依然面临不少困难和挑战，还需要爬一道道的坡、过一道道的坎。
Working side by side with the rest of the world in time of difficulty to tackle the international financial crisis, Asia has emerged as an important engine driving world economic recovery and growth. In recent years, Asia has contributed to over 50 percent of global growth, instilling much needed confidence in the world. What is more, Asia’s cooperation with other regions of the world at regional and sub-regional levels has great vitality and promising prospects. But we should also be keenly aware that Asia still faces many difficulties and challenges in boosting both its own development and joint development with other regions. The road ahead remains a bumpy and twisting one.
“亚洲与世界其他地区共克时艰，合作应对国际金融危机，成为拉动世界经济复苏和增长的重要引擎，//近年来对世界经济增长的贡献率已超过50％，给世界带来了信心。”首先将该长句划分为两个层面的含义（如双斜线所示），然后根据分句间的逻辑关系搭建句子。
第一个层面中，“合作”已经体现在“共克时艰”中，无需重复翻译；“应对国际金融危机”是“共克时艰”的目的，处理为不定式；“成为……”表示结果，可处理为分词结构。译为“Asia has been working side by side with the rest of the world in time of difficulty to tackle the international financial crisis, becoming an important engine driving world economic recovery and growth. ”
第二个层面中，以“贡献率已超过50％”作为主句，“给世界带来了信心”处理为结果状语，译为“In recent years, Asia has contributed to over 50 percent of global growth, instilling much needed confidence in the world.”
“区域次区域合作”解读为“区域次区域（层面的）合作”，译为“cooperation at regional and sub-regional levels”。
“我们也清醒地看到，亚洲要谋求更大发展、更好推动本地区和世界其他地区共同发展，依然面临不少困难和挑战”中，“要谋求……”表示目的，处理为目的状语，“依然面临……”作为宾语从句中的主要结构，译为“we should also be keenly aware that Asia still faces many difficulties and challenges in boosting both its own development and joint development with other regions.”
“还需要爬一道道的坡、过一道道的坎”解读为“前路坎坷曲折”，译为“The road ahead remains a bumpy and twisting one.”也可以解读为“处于困难和挑战的阶段”，译为“Asian development is in a critical stage where its path upward is particularly steep. ”
亚洲发展需要乘势而上、转型升级。对亚洲来说，发展仍是头等大事，发展仍是解决面临的突出矛盾和问题的关键，迫切需要转变经济发展方式、调整经济结构，提高经济发展质量和效益，在此基础上不断提高人民生活水平。亚洲稳定需要共同呵护、破解难题。亚洲稳定面临着新的挑战，热点问题此起彼伏，传统安全威胁和非传统安全威胁都有所表现，实现本地区长治久安需要地区国家增强互信、携手努力。
Asia needs to transform and upgrade its development model in keeping with the trend of the times. Sustaining development is still of paramount importance to Asia, because only development holds the key to solving major problems and difficulties it faces. It is important that we should shift the growth model, adjust the economic structure, make development more cost effective and make life better for our people. We need to make concerted efforts to resolve major difficulties to ensure stability in Asia. Stability in Asia now faces new challenges, as hotspot issues keep emerging and both traditional and non-traditional security threats exist. The Asian countries need to increase mutual trust and work together to ensure durable peace and stability in our region.
“对亚洲来说，发展仍是头等大事，发展仍是解决面临的突出矛盾和问题的关键，//迫切需要转变经济发展方式、调整经济结构，提高经济发展质量和效益，在此基础上不断提高人民生活水平。”分为两个层面，如双斜线所示。
第一个层面中，“发展仍是头等大事”与“发展仍是解决面临的突出矛盾和问题的关键”之间是因果关系，需要增译“because”来体现逻辑关系，译为“Sustaining development is still a top priority to Asia, because only development holds the key to solving major problems and difficulties it faces.”
“迫切需要……”是第二个层面的意思，“经济发展方式、调整经济结构”、“提高经济发展质量和效益”、“提高人民生活水平”中后者是前者的目的，译为“It is important that we should shift the growth model, adjust the economic structure, in order to make development more cost effective and therefore make life better for our people.”
