“今天是全球反恐事业的重要日子”一句的句型为“今天是……的重要日子”，处理成英文时可译作：“Today, sth. marks/witnessed a milestone/breakthrough”，整句译作“Today, the global counter terrorism marks a milestone”。
“由30个国家和组织参加的‘全球反恐论坛’在这里正式成立”中的“在这里正式成立”处理成介词短语“in this inauguration”，整句译作“30 countries and organizations participated in the global counter terrorism forum in this inauguration”；
“为各国在反恐领域加强交流和合作提供了一个重要平台，体现了国际社会为应对恐怖主义新挑战而共同努力的坚定决心” ：
与上一小句的处理方式类似，可将其中的动宾结构“提供了一个重要平台”，译作介词短评“in this platform”；
“体现了……”则处理成同位语“a demonstration…”；当然也可以用动词来处理。相较而言，同位语的处理方式会技高一筹，也是比较推荐的处理方式；

“论坛的成立必将对全球反恐合作进程产生重要而积极的影响”中的“……必将对……”可套用万能句型“be essential to…”，整句译作“This forum will be essential to cooperation to global antiterrorism cooperation”。

For decades, counter-terrorism has become an important agenda. Governments realized that terrorism threatens stability and development. We should improve capacity, policy and cooperation. With our efforts, terrorist activities have been weakened and counter-terrorism effort gains good momentum. In the meantime, we are still facing new challenges, in particular financial crisis and its underlying impact. Some countries and regions are in turmoil, which left loopholes for extremism. Extremism changes their strategies and tactics, using Internet to spread extremism. Terrorism has become increasingly homegrown and been operated individually. Terrorism is rampant not only in poverty-stricken areas, but also in peaceful and rich countries. We must be aware that to fight against terrorism is still tough, which will be an arduous and long-lasting task.
“反恐成为国际社会的重要议程”，时间紧张时，可省译“国际社会”，不影响整句句意，整句译作“has become an important agenda”或“has been on an important agenda”。
“下大力气反恐，加大投入，提高能力，完善政策，加强合作”中的“下大力气反恐”的具体内容为“加大投入，提高能力，完善政策，加强合作”，因而在处理时有两种方式：
时间特别紧急时，译“加大投入”即可，译作“spare no efforts to fight against terrorism”；
或者译出“投入”的内容“提高能力，完善政策，加强合作”，且只用一个动词improve，整句译作“We should improve capacity, policy and cooperation”；
“同时”、“与此同时”可译作“in the meantime”，“meanwhile”，“that said” ，“that being said”。
“特别是国际金融危机深层次影响尚未根本消除”解读为“特别是国际金融危机及其深层次影响（尚未根本消除）”。因前文已讲述了“我们在反恐方面仍然面临许多新挑战和新问题”，所以这两点可以被当成“新挑战和新问题”，因而译作“in particular financial crisis and its underlying impact”。
“一些国家和地区动荡”中的“动荡”的表达：be in turmoil，remain turbulent。
“让暴力极端思想有机可乘”译作“Extremism sets in”或承接前句，使用非限制性定语重句处理成更形象的表达“…, which left loopholes for extremism”。
“恐怖主义的本土化和个体化问题日益突出”解读为“恐怖主义越来越倾向于在国内发展，其活动也越来越倾向于由个人来执行等问题日益突出”，因而整句译作“Terrorism has become increasingly homegrown and been operated individually”。
“恐怖活动不仅在贫困动荡的地区肆虐，也已将触角伸入原本富足平和的国家。”一句有两种处理方式：
紧急状态下的处理方式是将整个句子做大减词动作，即“恐怖活动肆虐着贫困地区和富足的国家”，译作“Terrorism is rampant not only in poor areas, but also in peaceful and rich countries”；
也可以稍加修饰，彰显语言功力，译作“Terrorism is rampant in poverty/turbulence-stricken/plagued areas and rich countries”或者“Terrorism is wreaking havoc on a horrific scale in turbulence-stricken areas and extend their reach into rich countries”。
认真思考think hard about 杜绝……滋生的土壤eliminate/deny/prevent…from the beginning/any breeding ground/hotbed 中国愿与世界各国并肩努力，以（with）坚定的决心，共同的智慧和强大的力量去推动（for）人类社会的发展与繁荣，促进（within）不同族群、不同文明、不同国家间的（through）和谐包容，最终（for）实现世界的持久和平与安全。Let’s work together with resolve, wisdom and strength for development and prosperity within/among ethnics, civilizations, countries through inclusiveness for long lasting peace and safety（关键在于“动词转介词”）。
