第一个半句是一个介词短语，但包含的信息很多，如果处理成一个短语，定语过长，不符合汉语语言习惯，因此译文处理成一个单独的句子，第二句开头“从那里”进行承接，清晰流畅。

“机械化水平提升”译文处理为“agriculture was further mechanized”，而不是词对词地译为the mechanization level was raised，我们翻译时也要注意灵活处理。

今天的汉英虽然长，但难度不大，没有什么不好理解的词组，需要耐心就是了。

“解决企业办社会负担”这些短语只看字面根本理解不了在说什么，要多查资料，不能想当然。

This is far fewer than the hundreds of Soviet planes Norway tracked off its coast at the height of the Cold War. “提升城镇规划建设水平”中“水平”一词可省，即英译汉中的简化问题，不必要的、多余的词都可以省略不译，译文反而会更地道。
In Norway, a country that takes pride in championing peace — witnessed in its brokering of pacts between Israelis and Palestinians and its awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize — what General Lunde called the “new old normal” has come as a jolt. It has set off debate over military spending and highlighted how quickly Mr. Putin has shredded the certainties of the post-Cold War era.

Later this week, President Obama plans to visit a memorial in Hiroshima, Japan, that displays a large photograph of the city’s destruction seven decades ago. The striking image is typically identified as a mushroom cloud. But nuclear experts say it actually shows billowing smoke from a raging firestorm.

But the United States is a market economy with diverse gas price. In Boston, for example, gas price was once as high as over 20 dollars per MMBtu. So you can see the diversity of gas price in different states. But in general, the average gas price in the United States is the Henry Hub price which is 6.2 dollars per MMBtu. By comparison, imported gas price in China is between 16 and 18 dollars per MMBtu, which is three times that of Henry Hub price.

So gas price in Asia has been driven to a high level by Japan as well as China. Since the nuclear accident in Fukushima, all the 54 nuclear plants in Japan have been shut down. Controversy still continues in Japan as to whether those nuclear plants should be reopened or not. As a result, Japan has imported over 20 million additional tons of LNG annually. This high demand of LNG in Japan has sent Asia’s gas price soaring.
