WASHINGTON — President Obama strongly defended last week’s preliminary agreement with Iran as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to curb the spread of nuclear weapons in a dangerous region while reassuring critics that he would keep all options available if Tehran ultimately cheated. As he sought to sell the tentative deal to skeptics accusing him of giving away too much, Mr. Obama emphasized to Israel that “we’ve got their backs” in the face of Iranian hostility. 汉译英时也要注意词性变换，比如“加强国际核安全体系”处理为了名词短语a more robust global nuclear security architecture，“核安全峰会虽然将落下帷幕”处理为了The conclusion of the Nuclear Security Summit，根据情况灵活处理。
