Dolly, a sheep, was the first mammal to have been successfully cloned from an adult somatic cell. It took 434 attempts before an embryo was successful. She was born on 5 July 1996 but not announced to the world until 22 February 1997. Dolly was publicly significant because the effort showed that genetic material from a specific adult cell, programmed to express only a distinct subset of its genes, can be reprogrammed to grow an entirely new organism.

A hundred years ago, planes were limited to super-short flights (think less than a minute, in the case of the Wright Brothers) and military seaplanes. Also on the agenda of future were innovations that will change the way we travel to and through the airport—enhancements to security, the ways that smart home technology can enhance the safety and efficiency of airport terminals, and how our very day-to-day commutes might take to the skies. A flying vehicle will come to pick you up at your workplace or home, and it will probably land and take off vertically without a runway.

1.It’s a good opportunity to us to know there are a lot of great first in human history. On May 29, 1953, New Zealand climber Edmund Hillary(埃德蒙•希拉里), a British climber climb mount Everest /'evərɪst/ along the southeast ridge /rɪdʒ/, becoming the first man to reach the summit. On December 14, 1911, Norwegian explorer Ronald Amundsen (罗阿德•阿蒙森) became the first man to set foot on the South Pole. etc.

2.People had dreamed of air travel many thousand years ago. Fairy tale chang 'e runs to the moon which expresses the ancient people's longing for space. On April 12, 1961, yuri alexyevic gagarin (尤里•阿列克谢耶维奇•加加林) of the former Soviet /ˈsəʊviət/ union became the first man into space. Since then, astronauts from many countries, including China, have been in space. It is hoped that people would enjoy air travel in the future , not just astronauts.

1.The first successful attempt which I know was a sheep called Dolly. Dolly was the first animal to be cloned by Lan Wilmut, Keith Campbed and colleges at the Raslin Institute in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her birth was announced on February 22, 1997 and she lived until the age of six.

The successful attempt of Dolly’s done made a great much argument. Some people were afraid of the clone of people which would become true. Some people think it’s good for human beings for it can cure many diseases. In my opinion, it’s a successful attempt. It really becomes a profound question that we may struggle with.

2.What does “Air travel” mean? Transportation in aircraft. In my opinion, air travel means you travel by air. It’s only a vehicle like cars, ships and so on. I don’t think it means you travel in space.

Nowadays, more and more people travel by plane. There are following reasons. Firstly, it’s fast and convenient. Secondly, it’s cheaper than before. More people can afford the coast. Thirdly, it has good service and a better environment.

It served the high-end customers before. But in the future, it will become more and more common. Maybe everyone has a private jet one day and even drive their jets to go to work like our cars nowadays.

1.It is reported by China Daily on January 11th that the first man who climbed to the top of Mount Everest is Edmund Hillary. He is recognized as the first person to climb the top of the world. On May 29, 1953, he and his companion Tenzing Norgay climbed from the south side of Mount Everest and stood for the first time on the top of the world.

2.In my opinion, air travel is a kind of transportation in our life. It’s fast and convenient. But it also has disadvantages, for example, it is common for the aeroplane to be late because of bad weather or something like that. And you have nothing to do with it. Just wait. And if you have urgent business, I don’t advise you to choose that.

1.I would talked about my first successful attempt to Tibet in 2010. That was a depressed period of my life, during those years, then I suddenly want to travel alone. I didn't tell anyone, and after searching for some relevant information about Tibet, I flew to Lasa alone. Before arrived at that city, I have heard a lot of rumors about the altitude acclimatization. But when I had stood on that city, I did not feel too bad. And that is my first successful attempt to Tibet then.

2.Air travel used to be the most convenient way to travel around, but it seems to get less and less popular because of our High-Speed Trail. For most of us, we have to arrive at the airport 1 hour in advance at least , and spend more than 20 minutes in passing the security entrance, but it does not the same when we choose the High-Speed Trail. It could save hours for us if we took only a short journey.

1.It is well known to us that Mount Everest is the highest mountain on earth , with an altitude of 8848.43 meters. For many years, a great many climbers had challenged to climb the world’s highest mountain. It is not until in 29th May, 1953 that human beings finally achieved such great goal. And it is Edmund Hillary , a famous climber from New Zealand , that became the first man to reach the peak of Everest.

In my opinion, I believe that air travel will become more and more popular in the future, and travellers may fly further , such as fly to Venus, Mars and so on.

1.Ferdinand Magellan and his crew became the first group who voyage around the world successfully. At the year of 1515 Magellan applied from the king of Portugal to have an expedition, which was travelling around the world. But the king didn’t agree. Magellan did not give up easily. On 20th Oct. 1517 Magellan gave up his citizenship of Portugal and went to Spain. On 22th Mar. 1518, he made an agreement with the king of Spain for his plan of travelling around the world. Magellan and his fellow left Sevilla to San lu Carl on 10th Aug. 1519. Their voyage total last for three years. While at their second year, after they get through the Pacific and arrived the Philippines successful, Magellan died in a battle with a local tribe. After he died, his fellow continues the travel. On the year of 8th Sep. 1522, they arrived Sevilla, which is where they started it.

2.We are always put many meanings on air travel. Human beings are full of imagination and romantic. We are always keeping curious for the things that we don’t know. Even we can’t see it, we picture it, we think air travel would be very beautiful. While beyond darkness, deep darkness, I can’t image more.

1.Quite a few explorers explored the South Pole since 18 century. Roald Amundsen and Robert Falcon Scott, two of the most eminent figures, arrived the southern point. Actually Amundsen was the first person to step on the South Pole, Scott arrived there about one month later. Amundsen is a Norwegian, 1909, he was going to conquer the North Pole, when he learned that somebody the swift-footed arrived first, he gave up the plan and turned his target to the South Pole. On the way to the destination, Amundsen heard that Scott, the strongest rival, had set out 2 months ago, but Amundsen determined to gain the championship. In the end, his great expedition lasted less than two months, he planted a Norwegian flag at the South Pole. After a series of observations, the expedition was going to leave, Amundsen worried that he could not come back safely and he believed Scott would come soon, therefore, he leaved two letters for Scott and the king of Norway.That is the first successful attempt I know about the South Pole.

2.Air travel is very popular these day, it has to a certain extent Realize the dream of human flying, but not everyone accepts this mode of transportation. Although air travel has a very low accident rate, it is difficult for people to escape in case of an accident, and passengers can't cope with emergencies During the voyage. In most cases, air travel is safe. There is no doubt that whether for military or civilian purposes, air travel is very important.

1.For the first time, I really felt the joy of climbing. It was during my recent summer vacation. I went climbing Hengshan with my classmates. The time was a bit tight. I thought we couldn't reach the peak. I didn't expect that we would reach the peak when the time was so tight. This is a challenge, but I am very happy.

2.Some companies are now studying air travel, such as Boeing. I think that air travel is only something that very rich people can experience. It is not my business in this life, study hard, and go up every day.
